Database and Datawarehouse Specialist

Multilingual 1st line of support; Liason between customers and development units; Quality assurance and documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree in an IT-related field and high proficiency in IT;
  • Ease of communication in English;
  • Experience and proficiency in B.D., SQL and decision support technologies (datawarehouse);
  • Interest in solving problems quickly and effectively; Research capacity.
  • Since there will constantly be new goals to achieve, the most important thing will be strong motivation and interest, knowing how to figure things out and learning quickly, flexibility and
    multidisciplinarity, responsibility and a good reaction to working under pressure
  • Good analytical and abstraction skills; Good relationship and communication skills; Strong time management and teamwork skills.

Preferable Factors

  • Availability: In particular for starting work, availability for travel, availability for overtime/out-of-hours work.
  • Languages: French/Spanish/Italian/German/Other;
  • MSSQL/PGSQL/ORACLE experience; DB optimization experience; DB replication and high availability experience; Pentaho experience;
  • Programming experience in several languages;
  • Experience working in a team using collaborative tools (version control, issue tracker, etc.)

Framework / Functions / Objectives

  • Responds to the Development and Research units;
  • Using the principles of software engineering and the most modern methodologies, design and implement database/decision support solutions.
  • Designing and maintaining high performance and availability databases, transformations, imports and exports;
  • Building reports, cubes, dashboards, alerts for decision support.
  • Keeping abreast of developments in tools, trends and updates to database systems/decision support.
  • Manage and coordinate small/medium-sized projects and tasks effectively.
  • Technical and final documentation; Quality control;

Conditions

  • Gross Reference Value: 18000EUR/year (to be agreed cf experience/responsibilities)
  • Even with less experience, responses to junior positions will be considered when they fall under the heading of 1st Job/Professional Internship.
