Senior Systems Administrator

Research and development of IT working environments; Support and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Degree in an IT-related field;
  • Ease of communication in English;
  • Experience in Linux/OSS and Windows system administration; Service maintenance experience; Programming experience; Database experience; Network, web, VPN, DNS, VM’s etc. experience.
  • Interest in solving problems quickly and effectively; Scripting languages; Service configuration; Research.
  • Since there will constantly be new problems to solve, the most important thing will be strong motivation and interest, knowing how to figure things out and learning quickly, flexibility and multidisciplinarity, responsibility and a good reaction to working under pressure;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills; Strong time management and teamwork skills.

Preferable Factors

  • Availability: In particular for starting work, availability for travel, availability for overtime/off-hours work.
  • Languages: French/Spanish/Italian/German/Other;

Framework / Functions / Objectives

  • Responsible for the working environments used in the company, ensuring that everyone is able to do their job in the most effective and efficient way;
  • Administration and maintenance of the IT park (inc. purchases, rmas, etc.) and installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux and Windows systems;
  • Monitoring and providing support for ongoing projects / processes; Assisting and automating the company’s recurring tasks.
  • Monitoring the evolution of tools, trends and relevant updates.
  • Supports the Development/Maintenance/Research/Direction units;

Conditions

  • Gross Reference Value: 18000EUR/year (to be agreed cf experience/responsibilities)
  • Even with less experience, answers to the junior position will be considered when framed in 1st Job/Professional Internship.
